As part of the new contract with YPF and DLS Archer, we have carried out successfully the Upgrade of Rig 168 and all the necessary adaptations to give the Rig greater versatility in their operational applications.

A multidisciplinary work team of more than 50 professionals and technicians from different areas of the company and suppliers participated in the 5 week project. During this period, the drilling fluid pumping system was modified to reach up to 7500 psi, the linkage between mud tanks (flow line) was redesigned providing the possibility of adopting different positions safely and efficiently. As well as improvements in the lay out of the Rig which cover the needs of a more extensive multipad location and, in turn, work offline.

The engineering of the Project, from the preliminary project, plans, budget, documentation, execution and start up, had been carried out with the company’s own resources complying with the highest standards and certified processes. The improvements made in our Equipment, positions DLS Archer, at the highest standards of technology satisfying the requirements and demands of our customers.
